(Castries, St Lucia) St Luica Football Association President Oswald Larcher announced at a press conference that American Dennis Lukens had been named St Lucia U-23 National Team Coach. He will led the team through the 2008 Olympic qualification matches and then onto the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China.
Coach Lukens is a California resident and holds a United States Soccer Federation "A" License and National Soccer Coaches of American Advanced National Diploma. He has coached professional soccer with several team in the United States. Mr. Lukens served as General Manager and Head Coach of the Boston Storm of the USISL and in the same role with the Bay Area Seals of the USL "A" League. Coach Lukens led the Seals to the 2000 "A" League playoffs. In 2005 and 2006 he was General Manager and Assistant Coach with the California Cougars of the Major Indoor Soccer League.
