Kentucky Governor Beshear Will Chair Pre-K Commission During Second Term as SREB Chair
Governor Steve Beshear of Kentucky was elected to a second term as chair of the Southern Regional Education Board. He will chair the new SREB Commission on Prekindergarten Education.

At its annual meeting in Louisville in June, SREB also elected other officers: Joe Pickens of Florida as vice chair and Bob Plymale of West Virginia as treasurer of the Board, and Norm Conway of Maryland and Joyce Elliott of Arkansas as chair and vice chair of the Legislative Advisory Council.
