Thank you for sharing this service! I have seen some terrific charts by Dan Zarilla that showed the best times to tweet, etc, but I would think it is different for everyone. This tool will definitely help.

I really thought seriously about doing a video knowing full well I had NO clue how to pronounce not only Mouh’s name but the service itself. But I have no problem admitting that I have NO clue and that you don’t have to “know it all” in order to move forward in this business.

I agree Adam, there are charts people can show but they aren’t your followers. The people who follow you the most may have wacky work schedules and aren’t online when everyone else usually it which is why these types of services are really helpful. I mean we want our followers to see our tweets, right! Glad you found this one helpful.

Darn it Adam, send that rain over here. Now we have fires to put out too! Our lakes and rivers are starting to dry up and now air lifts are taking the water to fight the fires. The one in our area has been burning for four days now. Urgh!!! This is just unbelievable. People are having things happen in their immediate areas that are way out of the norm.

This is actually a very useful tool and I discovered it a few weeks ago. I think most people just send out their tweets without ever thinking if they are actually reaching their readers.

While this isn’t a perfect method, Tweriod is still quite helpful.

You are right and I’ve been guilty myself. I read the posts, I’m sharing the content and I’m moving on. I have no idea if the content is being seen or not but this way I have a better understanding of when my followers are online so I can get that information in front of them. It sure will help us all in the long run.

Maybe it’s a North/South thing, but I guessed different on both of those words. Mouh I’ve been pronouncing “Moo”, which my daughter thinks is funny, but we all love Mouh, don’t we! Awesome blog, awesome person. Just like you, Adrienne!

And this service I’ve been pronouncing Tweriod like “Period”. But I’m probably wrong on both counts. Perhaps Mouh can clear up this confusion?

Glad this one was helpful and I have Mouh to thank for that. I think my happy voice is mostly about laughing at myself since I openly admit to cremating poor Mouh’s name as well as the service.

You are probably right about the North/South thing. Don’t you like the Moe better? Now that’s his nickname too since there was no way I would ever be able to pronounce his full name. I hope he drops by soon and clears this up for us all. Oh, and forgives me too! He is awesome for sure and not only as a great person but his blog just rocks. I learn something new every time I visit. And the stuff he gives away over there. What a doll!

I can see pronouncing it like Period. But I also see the riod and I think of royed (you get the drift). It’s that North/South thing again. Heck, I don’t know and I guess it’s not really important. As long as we like the service, I guess that’s what really matters.

This will save me time, because I have been trying to figure it out by watching the patters of mentions, RTs and conversations so I know when to tweet certain encouragement tweets.

I also tried to figure out my followers by their mentions but I think they may be like me on that respect. I usually will thank my followers later in the evening after I’ve done everything instead of throughout the day when I’m online. So that might be the case with other people too but who knows. Just hope you find this report as helpful as I did.

Thank you for stopping by and engaging in this conversation. First off I have to say that I love that your company is based in Dallas, I’m here in Houston.

Now are you saying that your service is similar to like Buffer where it will tweet, share or whatever the information we want to share when it decides is the best time for our followers to see it? Like right now I schedule my tweets to go out during the times I know they will be online through a third party service. What you are saying is that I don’t have to do that, your service does all of that for me? If that’s the case, that is really cool and you can bet I’ll try it out and give my readers my opinion of how I think it works.

That’s really cool and again, thank you for sharing this with us. I will give it a test drive and then do a post to update my readers on this.

Yep, another Texan here my friend and thanks for answering my questions.

I did sign up for the site to check it out and will give it a run for it’s money starting tomorrow. I already had a lot set up today from my commenting so will start fresh tomorrow. I saw where I can drag the bookmarklet into my browser and just click it from there. That’s really cool Eric and I really appreciate you stopping by today and sharing this with me.

So is there anywhere I will be able to tell which tweets were sent and at what times? I like that Tweriod tells me the best times to tweet my stuff so that gives me an idea. That would be a cool feature to have. Just curious about that one. That way we know they went and not have to worry about constantly checking our account. Just a thought!

Thank you again Eric for answering my questions. I will use it tomorrow and I think it will be great that I won’t have to go and schedule all my posts.

I like to schedule my tweets about once every thirty minutes between the hours of 6.00A.M and 12.00 P.M. While I would love to have more of an interaction with my readers as a response to my tweets, the real pay-off comes in the form of search engine rankings. Oh goodness, Google loves to rank my tweets. Gives a whole new meaning to “Ping”!!!

I guess you need to have scheduled tweets to find out when they are being seen. The only scheduled tweets I have is through Triberr. Somebody in our office developed a system called Injectwit that I have access to and will probably start trying to schedule some tweets.

Us with southern type accents can call it anything we want. However, it think tweriod will sound like period, not steroid. But that’s just my take……Mouh as in mouth is on his own…………..:)

What this service does is tell you when the people you are following are on Twitter. Once you know that, you have a better idea of what times you should share tweets so that they will be online and actually see them.

If you are tweeting other people’s content that you just read while visiting their blog, it’s best to schedule those tweets during the times you know your followers will see them instead of just sharing them at the time you read the post itself. Make sense?

So you have someone in your office that came up with a system as well. That’s pretty cool and heck yeah, I’d use them. I think it’s pretty cool.

You are right Bill, and I will call it anything I want as you probably noticed! lol… I guess as long as I don’t know then I don’t feel so stupid!

Hi Adrienne,

I downloaded my Tweriod report a month or so ago when I stopped using the Tweet Old Post plugin and started sending out my old posts manually, using Buffer. It was extremely interesting to see what times were optimal. For me, I saw a drop off before 6am and after 3pm. So when I’m reading blogs and re-tweeting them, if I’m far outside of those hours, I schedule the RT using Hootsuite.

I haven’t analyzed the results of these techniques, but I have found that I get more RTs, in general.

This is a good service and I think that I used them once before. I probably should take this more seriously, but I just don’t like to schedule things more than I have.

All of the Triberr stuff I have is automated so I am trying to be more “organic” about posting. Of course, if I paid attention to when people receive my tweets it might make that easier, but who wants to do things the easy way any how.

This looks like a great service to discover the times my followers are online. Thanks for sharing this Adrienne.

As for scheduling tweets, I love the MarketMeSuite platform. You can schedule by the day and time, it is a snap and I love it. So I do schedule most tweets on certain days that I see my account more active.

But this tool you showed today could really hone it in farther. Oh oh, might mean getting another VA!! Thanks again Adrienne!

I tried that program and I hate to say it but I hated it. Know a few other friends that felt the same way so as long as you like it, that’s all that matters. But you can just learn what time your followers are online and then schedule them accordingly. That’s the really great benefit to this service.

I know the feeling though, I just tweeted when I read something I liked instead of considering the possibility that my followers might not be online at that time. Dah! Silly me! If that means I have to schedule them, so be it.

Cool service. I am not a huge twitter user. I basically use it to promote other peoples content. Strange, huh? I’m a Facebook kind of guy. I love Facebook. It’s much more personal, I feel.

I for one have never tried any of these services and mostly put up the links manually on Twitter, though it does get cumbersome at times. However, it does get confusing as to which one should one ideally go in for, with so many in the market!

Hi Harleena,

I found Twitter to be really confusing when I was first introduced to it as well Harleena. I just didn’t understand how a service where thousands of people are throwing up 140 character lines, were any of those people going to pay attention to what I shared. But as I finally got to learning more about just sharing other people’s information, eventually people will see you as someone who isn’t in this to promote their products constantly. People will start putting you on their list and paying attention to what you tweet. From there you’ll start meeting new people and building more relationships. So with a service like this, it will help you know when all your followers are actually online to see your tweets.

There are services such as TweetDeck, Hootsuite and SocialOomph that you can use for free to automate your tweets. That way you can set them up so they will be seen when your followers are online. If you need any help, let me know. Be more than happy to help with that.

Glad you enjoyed the video and are learning some things over at my place. That’s music to my ears.

Thanks so much for the detailed reply. I do follow what you are saying and am going to start doing just as you say. I do tweet about other people’s posts, but most of them don’d respond back, because I do not know them also, nor do they know me, so that needs to be sorted out as well!

Do you feel we need services like TweetDeck, Hootsuite etc, though my time zones do differ from the others who follow me. Would love your suggestion as to which one should I go in for, if you do feel they are really required.

If you are leaving comments on other people’s posts and then tweeting them, hopefully they will start returning the favor and you guys can get to know one another better. It just takes some time Harleena.

Because this particular service will tell you when the majority of your followers are online, due to different time zones, that’s why I think this service is pretty cool. So if you are commenting on blogs and wanting to tweet their posts yet this service shows that your followers aren’t online at that moment, then these third party services are great for automating those tweets for the times your follower are on.

Anyone of these services is good. I have had problems with TweetDeck when it comes to setting up scheduled tweets. Sometimes they go and sometimes they don’t. Have no clue why. Hootsuite is pretty easy to use so I would recommend them for now. I use TweetDeck though for my tweeting and setting up my lists. I’m not a big fan of Hootsuite for that.

Hope that was helpful Harleena and I’m sure you can Google how to use these service and locate a video that will walk you through it if you feel you need more assistance.

This is a great tip! As always you have a wealth of helpful info! I have enjoyed using Twitter, and have had a good response only recently as I have experimented with the “hit and miss” method not knowing about such a wonderful service. I do wonder at times if I am just sharing my tweets with Tweetdeck, Hootsuite, or other automated serviced though instead of real people which can be a bit frustrating. But I have been connecting with a few great folks as time has gone on and I have gotten a wee bit smarter in my use of it. But I think this will help me tremendously. Thank you again dear Adrienne for being there and sharing these great tips!

Glad you enjoyed the video and I really do find this service very helpful. I mean come on, telling me when to tweet so I will have a much better chance of all my followers actually seeing them. That’s pretty cool and all for free.

I’m glad to hear that you are having success with Twitter now. I think it just takes some time to get use to is. I know so many people use automated services but as long as you get on Twitter and you interact with some of your followers, that’s all you can do really. Just maybe get on there for 10 min. two to three times a day and check your tweets and interact with people. It’s like any other social networking site, you can’t get hooked and stay on there all day just chatting. That’s why these types of automated services come in handy.

Hi Adrienne,

Thanks for sharing this! I love stats and graphs so understanding when my followers are online and most exposure is great. There is a plugin I use “Tweet Old Post” which I really like as it gets different post tweeted automatically and often times that post hasn’t been seen by followers.

Other than that, I have been following your tips about being on Twitter a few minutes 3 times a day to personally respond to tweets. I am doing it with my other account and I finally see how it works

This new tool will definitely help me even more. Thanks!

Even though there are services that are ‘free’, let’s support these terrific tools. Otherwise they won’t be around for long.

This is the first time I’ve heard of Tweroid Adrienne and it does sound very interesting. I must have a look at it but even so I don’t think I’ll be using it at all. I don’t tweet all that much and when I do I would rather get a response then and there when I’m around

But at least with this tool Sire you will know when your followers are online so that you can tweet. That’s the beauty of it. This service is an automated twitter tool, it just tells you when your followers are online so you can make sure they see your tweets.

I’ll answer this one with a “no” because that’s fairly true. All my blogs post between 9 & 10AM EST, and in the evenings, around 10 – 12 hours later, I try to post them again if I remember. I probably need to do it more often than that, since you might remember that I’m not a big automation guy except for that first post. Yeah, I know, I’m fighting technology; I’m a rebel that way.

That’s okay Mitch if you aren’t a big automated type of guy.

What this service does is just tell you when your followers are online so that they will actually see your tweets. If you are like me and mine say they are on in the afternoons and I’m commenting on blog posts in the mornings then it would be in my best interest to automate those tweets of my friends posts so that they are viewed in the afternoon. I want to help out my blogging friends but what good is it for tweeting their posts if they aren’t even going to be seen. That’s what I like about this service. So you can even schedule the time you’ll be doing your tweeting just from knowing when your followers are online.

Long winded explanation I know! Sorry about that!

When I signed up for Buffer they showed me how to use Twitteroid, it is a great combination. I use Twitteroid to see when to post and Buffer to schedule those posts. 50 Tweets in Buffer is all that I can handle and that is only $5.00 a month. I do like the combination.

Twitteroid also helped me decide the best time to post my blog. Because I am on Triberr and have sever people that automatically Tweet my new posts, I changed my posting time to latter in the morning so that the auto RTs would be seen by more of my followers.

So why would you pay $5 a month to tweet your message out when their are free services that will do that since you now know the times to send your tweets? I mean you have to set your tweets up anyway right? But I’m happy to hear that you are aware of this service and have been using it Sheila. You just gave us a wonderful reason why those two work so well together.

You know I didn’t really think about that. I publish my posts first thing in the morning but you are right, my followers are on later in the afternoon. But then again, my followers already know when I publish my posts and they aren’t necessarily waiting for a tweet to be reminded. So hopefully with setting up my posts to be published, the people on my Tribes that share my tweets have followers that are on at that time. But thanks for bringing that to our attention.

I have found the Buffer interface easy to use. I like the fact that I can come to your blog, highlight a quote and Tweet it or add it to Buffer at peak follower times. I like the drag and drop feature, which makes it easy for me to fill the app with a natural looking sequence of Tweets.

This is awesome. I have been using Buffer for a while, and I am combining it with Triberr. But, I have actually never seen anything like Tweriod. I am just testing it right now, and I can’t wait to see what it comes up with.

God, I’m hopeless when it comes to tweets, Adrienne. I just don’t think about things like timing, I just click the ‘tweet’ button when I read a post. I guess it’s more important if you are promoting an affiliate link or something, but I’m a random tweeter, not taken it seriously at all. I’m much more into facebook.

I love Facebook as well and it’s more enjoyable for me interacting over there then on Twitter. But you can’t ignore how powerful it is and how much attention your blog can get if you start tweeting other people’s content without expecting to get anything in return.

I also would just tweet the posts but learned that the majority of my followers just might not be on at that time. Dah! Isn’t it a lot smarter to tweet when you have a better chance of them seeing them? Don’t take this service for granted Mandy. It can bring you a lot of traffic even if it’s not your all time favorite social networking site. I’m just saying!

I know I’m getting in here kind of late, but I really appreciate you posting this. I use hootsuite to schedule my tweets ahead of time, but I have it manually set for one tweet every hour, but if I used tweriod it would make scheduling so much easier, I could then have more tweets scheduled for the good hours, and nothing scheduled for the dead hours…hmmm… Thank you for sharing this service! Especially because it’s free. You gotta love the free stuff! Thanks for all your wonderful posts, and your helpful spirit.

I found your blog while visiting Benny’s and Paul’s earlier and I must add that I have already read through a great deal of your articles in your archive. I’ve enjoyed every single one of them and found them useful, so here’s a big thank you!

A little bit about what I’m facing now, My twitter circle is currently limited to my close friends and spammers (whom I make an effort to block), mainly due to me protecting my tweets until recently, when I unprotected them after reading several excellent articles on why we shouldn’t protect our tweets on twitter.

I really hope I’ll be able to make good use of the service to time my tweets in order to promote my blog. Do you actually follow the timings they recommend to a T?

Well welcome to my blog and I’m thrilled you decided to hop over here and check me out. Benny and Paul are awesome guys, can’t say enough good things about them both. I’m happy to hear that you’ve been enjoying going through my archives. If you have any questions about anything, shoot me an email and I’ll be happy to help.

So what are you trying to accomplish on Twitter if most of your followers are only close friends? I mean are you trying to drive more traffic to your blog because Twitter is excellent for accomplishing just that, if you do it the right way.

If you want to delete all the spammers from your account, check out a free program called Manager Flitter. You can automatically pull up your followers who are just eggs, you can check out the last time they tweeted and it will even show you what their last tweet was. It will also show you the people who are not following you back.

Since I learned about the service, I am most definitely just timing my tweets now. Am keeping an eye on my traffic and I’m seeing a slight rise since changing my schedule.

Thank you for your advice! You’ll definitely be a source of help I would be approaching if I encounter any difficulties.

I initially started twitter because I thought that it was an avenue for my friends and I to keep in contact with each other with short status updates. However, I realized that, that wasn’t what the realm of twitter was made out to be. By protecting my tweets, I was limited to a closed circle of 40~50 people, and this number never grew.

After unprotecting my tweets, I feel more liberated, and I get reassured that what I’m talking about via twitter is being received by people out there whom I don’t know. I’ve not received any new follows from other twitter users though.

When you mention that twitter is an excellent platform for driving traffic to my blog, do you mean that I have to have a substantial number of followers in place already? Or can I do it with whatever numbers I have. I currently have 53 followers :S and they’re mostly friends.

Hi Daniel,

It sounds like you need to find some new followers. You can search for people who have the same interests as you in order to get more followers who are actually interested in what you blog about. There are so many different tools you can use to find them but I’ll list three here for you so you can at least get started.

You are going to need more followers since right now you just have your friends. You want to build up a better following so that more people will be introduced to what you have to share.

Hi Adrienne, don’t you just love G+… I’d have missed this post this morning if it wasn’t for someone commenting on G+

Tweriod looks really good. I’ve just hit the sign in and have set it in motion so I’ll soon be finding out what time is best to send them out I also use buffer to schedule tweets and once I have the correct times to send them i may look upgrading.

I used to use Viral tweet Builder, which was really good, until they fell out with Twitter They keep promising a come back version but I’m still waiting to see it.

I know you had some problems with your computer so you weren’t able to stop by for awhile and check out my posts. Guess this was one of them but glad you saw it in Google+. I need to use that more often, I’m so bad about that.

With you being in the UK, you might find that a lot of your followers are tweeting when you’re asleep. By scheduling your tweets so you can be sure that everyone will see more of them, then that can really boost traffic to your site. Can’t wait to find out how this works for you. I’m loving it myself.

Never heard of Viral Tweet Builder so sorry you had to go in search of another service. I’ve heard a lot of people like Buffer but since I already know the times to tweet, I just set those up in SocialOomph, which is a free program no matter how many tweets you set up. It’s worked really well for me.

Yeah, Buffer is great and they may have brought that number up I’m not sure. I just use SocialOomph to schedule my tweet because it’s a free service for what I use it for.
