Title: Press Conference with Hirohiko Izumida, Governor of Niigata Prefecture
Source: Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Japan
Date: Aug 28, 2013

At 49:00 in

Hirohiko Izumida, Governor of Niigata Prefecture: Tepco on either the 12th of March or on the 11th of March had already anticipated a meltdown to occur.

For example, there should be soul-searching in regard to Fukushima, and it should be made clear as to who gave the instructions to tell lies for a period of two months. And it is necessary to do this for them to regain credibility, and yet there is no one that has been able to talk about this.

In other words, it doesn’t mean that a person had to go to the No. 2 reactor to look at the high doses, but rather normally  it should have been explained that there were reasons why lies had to be told but now what is going to be carried out from here onwards so that lies will no longer be conveyed.

They gleefully admit that they've lied through their teeth in the past, but they're going to tell the truth now…

It's rather surreal when you remember that it's a politician who's promising to start telling the truth.

Japan can kiss the Olympics goodbye. Rejection of their bid for the games is, oddly, the only step the international can take.

I would add to any letter of rejection, "Why don't you clean up the stinkin' mess before you invite people over?"

Was the most bizaar responses, the "sheeple" have NO clue about how bad it is.

I think most of our species is stupid or something.

I deleted my post really don't wanna get in a flame war with a bunch of "low information" people.

Guess they will just absorb all that GOOD radiation and go back to watching morons on TV.

very strange responses,, I like my own species EVEN LESS now.

  • So its finally official, we were lied to. Anyone surprised? Then since no one is coming forward to explain the lie there is no credibility to paraphrase Hirohiko Izumida, Governor of Niigata Prefecture. So then obviously we are still being lied to. But at least thank God USA is doing something. Invading Syria will win the war on terrorism or the war on drugs or whatever war Obummer is waging. Looks to me like the war on the American people. Should be the war on bullshit or as the politically correct crowd like to call it "spin". Sorry I never could be politically correct. Hate that word spin. A word to describe what my bicycle tires do and sounding so benign. Bullshit, while sounding vulgar is much more to the point. By definition it should sound vulgar. Telling everybody its all right as three nuclear meltdowns happen simultaneously is more then vulgar its monstrous. I wonder who gave the order to not distribute iodine pills? No need to bring the victims to the gas chamber we can now transport the gas to the victims. Not bullshit but Criminal Bullshit for which a bullet to the brain is too light a punishment. Can we please bring back crucifixion?

Nuke scientists & their associates are not unlike high priests of a State-favored cult. Think ancient Egypt.
That cult's "brand" is the result of lies and propaganda and accorded prominence & influence by the elite, and we are encouraged to Believe, to Follow, to Respect…
          Jump to a new paradigm.
Being "nukity" no longer a socially desireable career choice, when you're shunned, shamed, spat on in the street, merchants deny you service, you're viciously bumped by shopping carts in the grocery, etc. etc.
Imagine the figureheads and deliverers of the world's religious faiths urging their adherents to revile all Nukists….where have the world's faiths been on nuclear?
As for the more aggressive ideas in the rhyme…it's just a rhyme….isn't it…

re: crucifixion … How about we publicly "break Jeffery Immelt, alive, upon the wheel?" This would save some timber. Strap him lying on his back, to a large wheel (wooden) and then proceed to break every bone in his body, with a hammer, starting with the smallest bones at the extremities, first. It was once widely used in Europe, France, Sweden etc. where nuclear power is still happily used.

Immelt's the guy who insisted upon LYING about the GE designed and manufactured (at least some of them) reactors which melted out. It was always understood that one melt out (down or through) (take your pick) would be the end of the nuclear charade. TMI was only partial, and it was successfully covered up, hushed up etc. by the Jimmy Carter (RUBE) Kabuki show. Even Hyman Rickover turned against the civilian reactor program after TMI (though too late, he was just a senile old man at that point and nobody listened to him, except his daughter.)

It is called a "death bed conversion," and it is usually too little. too late.

GE decided Japan had to lie. Ge decided the Japanese simply had to die. GE decided Japan must burn its radioactive debris far and wide, all over the country, so future epidemiology would not reveal the cancers caused by the GE-designed, Fukushitty complex.

And my great grandfather was first president of GE (from 1890 to 1921 (or so) … so for me the lies are personal. I always wanted to visit Japan.

      Brilliant, Jeff!

The translation from Japanese to English is a bit off, so here is a more accurate interpretation. (Corrected text in brackets.)

"… it should be made clear as to who gave the instructions to tell lies for a period of [two months]." = "… two years and counting."

"… it is [necessary to do this] for them to regain credibility" = "… impossible…"

"… [there is no one that has been able] to talk about this." = "Everyone who has tried to talk about this has been silenced or ignored."

"… reasons why lies had to be told…" Add: "was to cover their a$$e$."

"… now what is going to be carried out from here onwards so that lies will [no longer be conveyed]." = "… be more effective in hoodwinking the public."

HE was lied to? HE lied to others? But it was o.k. if there was just a REASON? And he thought that TEPCO was getting their orders from SOMEONE ELSE?

This is a confused (and/or mistranslated) message.

Governors of Prefectures apparently have a lot of power in Japan. But he does apparently realize that this was life and death, and that his whole Prefecture was misled and kept in danger, and that he was just used as a puppet to get that done.

Then there is also a "sub-text." Can only wonder what it is, but it has to be bad.

There was cover ups across all of the nuclear powered nations & yes the USA did its part also, a real big part! The facts are in these FOIA Reports now in a book at http://hatrickpenryunbound.com/?p=3683. http://plumegate.wordpress.com/ has a heck of info exposing the stuff the leaders of the free world did & the agencies who we pay so well with our tax money have again sold us up the river but this time the boat is full of dying life forms of all kinds! Yes the nuclear power industrial complex & military complex have called the shots on what gets reported & what does not, hell most Americans don't know crap about Fukushima or the Bioaccumulation, a word we will soon know by heart! Bioaccumulation, so many meanings where does it end?

Wow, is this NOT set into a backdrop! Within the first three minutes of this press conference, turns out that it is in regard to the RE-START of an NPP in his Prefecture. And he is apparently FINE with that just so long as safety is confirmed.

Oh, and meanwhile, he says that the debate about regulatory standards is SEPARATE from the debate about re-start.

I guess maybe that he wants the NPP to boost his Prefecture's economy, just so long as HE is held harmless from any ensuing deaths because of TEPCO's malfeasance?

And this is just three minutes in. Wow — glad that this guy is not Governor of MY State!

Will listen further — hope I somehow misheard. Just not too encouraging here….

Why lie at all? This is the situation in the World today – We lie about many things. This is the lying age.

But with lies you also fool yourself.

What would be better – to say: We have a huge problem here!
Or to say: Things are under Control, when they arn't.

Now it is both obvious Japan is both lying and cheating and incompetent to handle large difficulties.

Probably the Japanese style of beeing respectful, has stoped them from telling the truth – More important to "keep the face"..

I forget where but in the video a German reporter asks for a comment regarding that Germany only allowed two reactors per complex and how safe does the govenor think the giant 7 reactor site is? Something to think about how stricter German policy is compared to Japan and further Germany is not burdened with a massive cleanup while having an excellent economy without nukes.

Another story of the basic climate around starting up reactors

Tokyo’s mayor ought to consider evacuating Tokyo.
    Sep 02, 2013 Russia Today
The latest surge in radiation at Fukushima plant can mean fission is occurring outside the reactor. The sudden increase of 1.8 Sv per hour is a doze that can kill somebody in 2 to 4 hours. The radiation increase means radioactive fission is occurring, like an open air reactor.
Nobody can go in to measure where the leaks are or do anything about the leaks, because anybody who is to approach Fukushima plant will be dead quickly. Many people are going to die as a result of the radiation.
People should start to get away. I’ve seen a statement made by Tokyo’s mayor saying Tokyo Electric`s problem will not affect the application of Tokyo to be considered for the Olympic Games. Tokyo’s mayor ought to consider evacuating Tokyo.

      I agree.
Every time I see the words Tokyo and Olympics in the same sentence I cringe. Every single cent Japan has allocated towards the potential Olympics should be designated to Fukushima. It boggles my mind that Japan has not voluntarily revoked their Olympic bid. God forbid they acknowledge how severe the problem really is. We know deep down there really is no "fix", but why avoid the obvious and knowingly subject more lives to radiation exposure? To save face? Pfft…. It's just insane!

Tepco wants to start up the worlds largest nuclear plant because it got loans from banks and government based on start up of the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa complex. Tokyo Electric found on Monday a new area of high radiation in a different area
    TOKYO | Mon Sep 2, 2013
(Reuters) – Tokyo Electric said on Monday that a patrol of workers had found a new area of high radiation near tanks used to store contaminated water.
Tokyo Electric said it had found a radiation reading above 100 mSv per hour on the ground near a water storage tank. The latest hot spot is in a different area than a storage tank that was found to have leaked 300 metric tons of radioactive water in August.
Tokyo Electric could not give a precise reading for the level of radiation since workers were using instruments that only recorded radiation up to 100 mSv.
Japanese nuclear workers are limited to a cumulative exposure of 100 mSv over five years.
