Research and Reports

Best practices. Current issues. Critical policies. New approaches.

States across the SREB region are navigating many developments in educator effectiveness.

We want to help you sift through the information, navigate the issues and be informed – whether you’re a policy-maker, elected official, teacher, parent, or college student preparing for a career in education.

SREB analyzes the latest developments and research related to educator effectiveness in the 16 member states we serve. Evidence suggests that effective teachers can have a powerful impact on how much and how well students learn.

This understanding is informing policies, recommendations, practices and legislation about teacher performance, administrator support, professional development, compensation and related issues.

Here, we share with you publications, reports and stories related to SREB’s analysis and recommendations in educator effectiveness.
