I’m a transplanted Canadian who has been living, working, and taking photographs in Asia since late 2000. Prior to beginning my one year expat adventure (now into year 9) I kept busy in corporate Canada. Back then my travel was primarily for business in Atlantic Canada and Quebec. I represented Butterworths Canada ( a division of Reed-Elsevier), CCH Canadian Limited (a division of Walter Klewer), and American Express.

When I hung up my corporate high heels in 2000 it was supposed to be for a year. The plan was to return, but of course that hasn’t happened. I’ve discovered that I enjoy my expat working and traveling lifestyle. There are no plans to change that anytime soon.

To travel I need time and money. I earned a Masters degree, and now I teach at the university level. This gives me both the time and some of the money that I need to travel several times a year. In addition to my teaching I am a freelance writer. I have co-authored several TOEFL testing textbooks with Compass Publishing. Recently, I completed a freelance “ghost writing” project with PGC Edutainment based in Seoul. I am also available for freelance travel writing assignments.

My goal with this website is to provide readers with a first hand account of my travel experiences. This will include the good, the bad, and the fantastic!

Unless otherwise noted all of the articles here are written by me. The content is true and accurate to the best of my ability. All of the photographs were taken by me with one of my trusty Nikon cameras.

Please feel free to comment. You may not always agree with what I have to say. If we all agreed with each other all of the time, it would be a boring world! Remember, keep your comments polite and no foul language.

I am currently based in Daejeon, South Korea.

Enjoy the adventure!
