Chris Hergesheimer holds a BA in cultural anthropology and an MA in sociology from Simon Fraser University. Chris completed both these degrees with first class standing and received funding for his graduate work through the Social Science and Research and Humanities Council of Canada (SSHRC).

He has extensive experience working on independent, and collaborative research projects for a variety of non-profit organizations throughout the province. He is the author and co-author of a number of published academic articles and technical reports and is a dynamic and engaging speaker who has presented at conferences both locally and internationally. He has strong skills in project management and coordination and also has years of experience designing and teaching college level courses including introduction to academic writing, introductory research and statistics as well as communication skills and dynamics for health care professionals.Chris is also employed as a primary instructor in the professional development department at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy.

Chris is passionate about Naturopathic Medicine and is excited to work with students, faculty and staff on strengthening research literacy and education at Boucher Institute.
