liFehouse
almeria (Geffen Records) FOR FANS OF: The Wallflowers, Train, Jonny Lang QQQQ
Lifehouse cements its longevity on Almeria by incorporating a bluesy, roots rockin’
emphasis within its already sturdy modern rock framework. The results range from the catchy ear candy of the Natasha Bedingfield duet “Between the Raindrops” and the smoldering Peter Frampton tag team “Right Back Home,” all the while showcasing front man Jason Wade’s pensive but relatable lyrics.

Now (Blue Horizon Venture) FOR FANS OF: Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Etta James QQQ
To mark the 50th anniversary of her first single, Dionne Warwick re-records
some of her most beloved hits, a few lesser known fan favorites and four new tunes. Though the noticeably lower voiced 73-year- old doesn’t improve on golden oldies like “Don’t Make Me over”
or “I Say A Little Prayer,” at least the jazzy new tunes are still classy and inspirational in their own right.

Count Me In (Hopper Music) FOR FANS OF: The Gaithers, southern gospel QQQ
With a hint of country and a whole lot of gospel, The Hoppers’ latest release doesn’t
disappoint. “I’ll Take You Home” is an upbeat, classically-styled song, with tight vocals and a cheery guitar. Though the family- based southern group could have spread their wings a little more lyrically, the project is fun and well-produced.
