I am a PTI supporter but would request my leader to be quiet till this operation is over. If they are foreigners then there is no point of talks as their agenda is clear and so should we be. Go Pak Army, kill them all in their dens. Insha Allah you will return successful. Nation is standing by your side. Good Luck!

Wondering if the masses in Pakistan support the same operation. Can we have a poll numbers from Sindh and Balochistan from not so Twitter savy people. I will be impressed to see if 1% of the overseas Pakistani use twitter. Kudos to Dawn for making a news article based on 5 tweetes.

Very good decision to act against these insurgents, eliminate them all and deal with them an iron hand. Military operations should also be conducted in cities where insurgents activities are common. The nation can't live a normal life and move forward technologically and economically unless these talibans are removed and eliminated. Talibans have disrupted the lives of common citizens of the country and removing them from our land would help the nation move forward and help people lead a normal life.

This operation is a must,I wish they spend less time coming up with these names and more time planning. Its going to take more than one operation, might as well get ready for #2 #3 #4 #5.I really hope this government is serious about getting rid of this disease we call taliban, hope the government goes all the way,I'm willing to bet other countries will be willing to contribute to the cause by extending monetary help.

Good bad or ugly is beyond the consideration now. Enough time has been wasted and pakistan has suffered huge concequences in all aspects, reputation has been tarnished/economy ruined , thousands of lifes lost, piece has been terrorised. Action should have been taken long ago but its welcome even now!!

After Karachi air port attack by TTP a comprehensive operation against them was due. Karachi air port attack sent a message to the Government that outlawed have come of age challenging the Government's writ as per their choice. The Government had no option but to launch this operation to protect county's interest and at the same time to teach a lesson to them which they certainly deserve.

There are so many questions: First of all why Govt tolerated violent crimes against Pakistanis for so long? there shouldn't have been these militias to begin with, it's not about support or oppose, operation is the only possible outcome of all the violence committed against Pakistanis, but who is going to pay for the thousands of lives taken by terrorists?

The opinions shown from social media, are basically by the media & politicians only. Majority of the general public of course is also in favor of the operation also, but I somewhat agree with what Imran Khan has said, that the outcome might be suicidal, even disastrous. So I suggest that the bigger picture should be taken into account and spies of neighboring countries who are infiltrating the peace of our nation, should be dug out and wiped off for good. That might give better results. And whats with the twitter crap? Why has it become such an obsession with our politicians? Even terrorists are updating on twitter and attacking sensitive areas of our country.

Good Luck Pak Army and this time make sure we capture or kill them all. They are kind of people who does not reason and only wants to force their paleolithic ways on people. Jun 15, 2014 10:42pm

May Allah help our armed forces eliminate the menace of terrorism, funded and sponsored by enemy forces, as swiftly as possible. It was a tough decision to start the operation in North Wazirastan, the center of all evils, but the failure of negotiations with the terrorists had made it absolutely essential. These terrorists need to be made fully accountable for huge loss of innocent lives and colossal damage to Pakistan assets and economy. This war is basically against a flawed mindset which had made the terrorists believe that killing of fellow citizens and Muslim and damaging Pakistan assets was a noble cause. This war can only be won if the whole nation supports our armed forces in this jihad against terrorism and all patriotic leaders need to extend their full commitment and support for this purpose.

Jun 16, 2014 02:53am

While military operation is carried out in tribal belt, our cities and villages should be also monitored closely. Instead of watching the operation in North Waziristan, our police(if they are competent enough) should go after the banned terrorist organizations who are already involved in daily killings of minorities and other religious a groups. It is the only way the pot is cleaned in and out. These terrorist should not left in peace and should be followed until they are either apprehended or exterminated. May be then our team may be playing in the next World Soccer Cup.

@Faraz I am not suggesting that TTP carry out any acts in any city of Pakistan, however had terror was spread in Lahore or Islamabad then Imran Khan and their supporters would have condemned TTP, but because most terror acts were aimed at Karachi and Balochistan it didn't matter to PTI.
