Sporty, body-conscious silhouettes were a running theme in fashion back in the nineties, and that sleek line carried through from party dressing (this was the age of the bandage dress, after all) right through to the pool. Shot by Ellen von Unwerth and styled by Grace Coddington for Vogue in 1993, this image of models wearing shimmering athletic bathing suits floats that idea into particularly stylish waters, and is right in sync with the current wave of sport-luxe fashion.
