This week on Video Game Sophistry, Canadian-born actor, Steven Ogg, joined the show to discuss his portrayal of Trevor Philips in GTA V.

We’ve already showcased the “Safe For Work” recording, but here is the complete, unedited, uncensored version of that interview; below you’ll find some highlights.

The Calgary born expatriate who now resides in New York, shares specific details on what it was like to work with Rockstar Games on this blockbuster. He discusses studio antics and the overwhelming support he’s received from the gaming community (starts at: 6:12).

Warning: This interview is full of profanity (and hilarity).

Ogg also discusses how he infused “Canadian-ism” into GTA V’s proto-hipster character, Trevor and how he personally influenced the maniac’s development (starts at: 22:30).

Throughout the interview you’ll notice that Ogg is just as bombastic as his on-screen counter part. During the interview I accidentally let slip one of the possible endings of GTA V, something the actor was not aware of (starts at: 33:33),

Trevor Philips is one the most violent video game characters in the history of gaming. Ogg, who isn’t much of gamer, also defends his portrayal of Trevor Philips to those who feel GTA V promotes violence (starts at: 40:52)
