Roxanne, oldest spotted leopard in captivity, dies at Acreage preserve

THE ACREAGE —

Roxanne the African spotted leopard lived at McCarthy’s Wildlife Sanctuary for 24 years, and held the record as the oldest leopard of her kind in captivity.

She was euthanized Friday due to old age and frailty, said Mark McCarthy, who owns and operates the non-profit wildlife preserve on seven acres in The Acreage with his wife, Aneth.
