OnEarth KML layers The Tiled WMS is used to provide data using the KML 2.1 onRegion update.

http://OnEarth.jpl.nasa.gov/OnEarth_GlobalMosaic.kml is the tiled version of the global 15m Landsat 7 derived WMS Global Mosaic. This is the pseudocolor style, pansharpened, using both infrared and visual bands.

http://OnEarth.jpl.nasa.gov/OnEarth_GM_Visual.kml is the tiled version of the global 15m Landsat 7 derived WMS Global Mosaic, visual. This is the visual style, which uses color derived from the red green and blue spectral and brightness from the panchromatic band.

http://OnEarth.jpl.nasa.gov/OnEarth_DailyPlanet.kml, daily updated 250m per pixel visual images collected by the TERRA MODIS, which crosses the equatorial line around 10AM local time. The time between collection and image updates on this layer can be as short as ten hours, depending on data availability at LAADS Web

You can also request a specific day of either the daily_planet or the daily afternoon images, by using a link such as this:
"http://OnEarth.jpl.nasa.gov/OnEarth_Daily.cgi?layers=daiy_planet&time;=2009-02-28"
Simply choose daily_planet or daily_afternoon for the "layers" parameter, and add the "time" parameter using the "YYYY-MM-DD" format.
Both layers from the same day can be requested using the "layers=daily_both" parameter.
A number of days can also be requested by providing the time argument in the ISO 8601 repeating interval format, which is "Rx/YYYY-MM-DD/PyYmMdD", where:

x - number of repetitions (day frames)
YYYY - Year
MM - Month
DD - Day
y - Period years
m - period months
d - period days

For example, to see the first ten days of afternoon frames of the LA 2009 Station Fire, use:
"http://OnEarth.jpl.nasa.gov/OnEarth_Daily.cgi?layers=daily_afternoon&time;=R10/2009-08-26/P1D"
Please keep in mind that the GoogleEarth application is limited as far as multiple coverages is concerned, due to relatively slow conversion of the image tiles to the internal format and the 2GB limit of local cache.
