TV host George Young (L) received Elle Magazine's Breakout Star of the Year award
SINGAPORE: It was a night of glitz and glamour as showbiz personalities were recognised at the Elle Awards on Thursday evening.
Into its sixth year, the event recognises the best in the business, across nine categories.
These included Actress of the Year, which went to Joanne Peh and Actor of the Year which was awarded to Adrian Pang.
But the two were not present to receive their award.
Breakout Star of the Year award went to TV host and actor George Young.
Other winners included Kevin Lester for Music Act of the Year, Pornsak for Host of the Year and RAOUL for Singapore Designer of the Year.
Winners were chosen by the number of votes received online from Elle readers as well as an internal panel of judges.
The three other winners, chosen by an internal panel of judges were Yuan Sng for Makeup Artist of the Year, and Zhang Jingna for Photographer of the Year.
Hairstylist of the Year award went to Eileen Koh.
