Privacy and Use Policies

The Town of Mansfield (The Town) respects and upholds the privacy of our users (You). To this end, we are publishing our privacy policy for data collected on this site.

General Information:

  1. Our servers collect certain non-personal information from your visits to our services automatically. This includes (but is not limited to) your IP Address, Mansfield-specific cookies, and the page that you request. All web servers by their very nature must collect this information as part of serving information to you.

Use Policy

The Town of Mansfield (aka 'The Town' or 'We') is committed to providing services to all. We wish to provide a forum for civil and useful interactions for all. To this end, the Town requires the following Use Policy to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all users (aka You) that use our systems.

  1. Accounts are assigned to individuals and should only be used by the individual granted the account. We may revoke an account that is misused. Misuse includes (but is not limited to) distribution of passwords.
  2. Interactions between individuals, or between an individual and the Town, should be civil, lawful, and respectful. Disrespectful behavior or language (commonly known as 'flaming') will not be tolerated on our systems and may result in a ban from our systems and/or electronic services. Additionally, we may contact the police in the event of threatening behavior or language, harrasment, or if our systems are used for illegal activities.
  3. We do not allow unsolicited commercial advertising on our website.
Our webpages contain some links to websites that are not hosted by the Town of Mansfield. These may include other government agencies, public or private organizations, businesses, or other online websites. These links are intended to be informational, however if we provide a link to an outside website, this does not constitute an endorsement by the Town of Mansfield. Also, such websites are not within our direct control and may not follow the same privacy, security, content, or accessibility policies. Once you visit such a website, you are subject to the policies of that site.

E-mail

It is our goal to have only wanted e-mails sent from our servers. If you find yourself on a Town of Mansfield e-mail list that you no longer wish to receive e-mails from, please e-mail unsubscribe@mansfieldct.org with a sample e-mail you received and you will be removed as soon as possible and no later than 72 hours.
