Volunteering at the CPCC

Volunteerism is steeped in the Centre's long and rich history.  Since its early days, volunteers have been at the heart of the Centre working alongside staff to strengthen the Centre's capacity to deliver quality programs and services to the community.  From those who assist on the front-line to those who work quietly behind the scenes providing leadership and support, our volunteers help to enrich the lives of the families and children we serve.

In 2011, the Board of Directors adopted the Canadian Code for Volunteer InvolvementIn adopting the Code, The Caledon Parent-Child Centre commits to value and support the contribution of volunteers through respectful, meaningful and inclusive engagement.

Quiet Heroes! ~ A Salute to our Volunteers

Sandyha Singh Recognized for her Volunteer contributions by her employer;

TD Bank Makes $500 donation to CPCC:

Sandyha Singh and her two boys are a familiar sight at the Caledon Parent-Child Centre.  Sandyha and her family have been using our services for a number of years now and are keen supporter of our Centre.

She has utilized our drop-in services and programs, but the program we offer that Sandyha most identifies with is Adjustments After Birth - a support group for mothers affected by postpartum depression and related mood disorders.  In the spring of 2013, Sandyha bravely shared the story of her struggles with PPD and her eventual triumph over the disorder with the audience at our 9th Annual Laugh Out Loud Fundraiser. She eloquently explained how AAB was a valuable resource to her as she struggled through the challenges of PPD with both of her births. Sandyha shared her message again at our Annual General Meeting and Volunteer Appreciation Dinner.

Later in 2013, her employer -TD Bank -acknowledged Sandyha's significant volunteer contributions to our Centre by making a $500 donation to the CPCC.

CPCC is very grateful to be the recipient of a such this generous donation and we want to congratulate Sandyha on receiving this recognition at work. We also want to send her our deepest thanks for her on-going support of the Centre.
