Adelaide Lightning signs Kelly Faris to replace injured Natalie Novosel

Australian club Adelaide Lightning has signed American guard Kelly Faris to replace Natalie Novosel, who tore her ACL while playing in Australian winter leagues, the Advertiser reports.

In her first season in pro basketball Faris played in Hungary for UE Sopron, where she averaged 4.7 points and 4.2 rebounds in EuroLeague Women and 7.9 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.5 assists in the Hungarian league.

This season in the WNBA Faris was a deep reserve for the Connecticut Sun, where she played just 7 minutes per game, averaging 1.1 points and 1.2 rebounds.
