So It Begins.

Flickering lamplight cast it's meagre illumination throughout the interior of the humble room, creating rippling shadows that trembled across the yellowing walls. The oil in the brass clad lamp was near gone, forcing the wick to sputter and filled the small peasant hovel with the acrid stench of it's burning. The watcher however, paid it no heed. A part of him unconsciously knowing that somehow the guttering flame would last long enough for the passing to take place.

The Memoirs of Willem Malchanceux - Peasant Rebellion

The seventh errantry war, declared three years ago, had been crumbling like the solitary statues found rearing out of the dunes. Nearly one-hundred autumns ago, Mathieu Droitcoeur had begun a foolish Errantry War following a winding path through the deserts of Khemri; the same path as the one his descendant Louis Droitcoeur intended to follow now, however Sir Mathieu had failed to return from his crusade and if not for the suckling babe left in his diminished chateau his proud lineage may have ended that day.

 Should I Falter

Devastation spread throughout the former village, the charcoal ruins of its hovels groaning weakly in the howling chill of late autumn wind.  An early snow frosted the wilted grass and earthen streets, dappled with iced blood and the dismembered limbs of those who fought to save their homes.  The lord and his family were tied to a post in the village square, stripped, naked, their flesh carved with profane symbols from an unholy ritual.  The hoofed prints of beastmen ran rampant on the ground.

In the previous two articles I made a rough sketch of what Old World Gods the Bretonni believed in and more importantly how they believed in them. Now we're going to look at how the priests and devotees of these Gods reacted to the events of the Unification of Bretonnia. Let's start by first looking at what these events actually are.

textedit_80.pngThe server hosting the Round Table will undergo maintenance during the day (GMT time zone) on Saturday, 21st of December. As a result, the site may be temporarily read-only or completely inaccessible. Behind the scenes, I will transfer the Round Table to more powerful server hardware, which will result in faster response times overall. Thanks for donating and clicking our advertising banners, which enables this upgrade!

Update: The site was successfully transferred to the new server.

A bretonnian Lord leads an army to the shores of Naggaroth to rescue his enslaved battle standard bearer and reclaim his banner.

We live our life through vows, eventually broken by death; at one inevitable point or the other. So much honor, hovering over lonely graveyards.

Sir Peter Grliah, Paragon of The Recadent Host

His charger broke into a gallop. The ice glazed, lower branches of surrounding trees, hitting his armor, bore witness to the speed of the pursuit. The treacherous woodland already claimed a life of a knight on account of his reckless velocity. It was highly doubtful the prize was worth the sacrifice; the prize being the last surviving Har Ganeth executioner from the regiment they broke in combat earlier, at the foothills of the nearby hill. Only two bretonnian knights remained after that onslaught; both of them grail knights. The first, Lamorak, was now dead. The other, the Lord; still in pursuit of the fleeing draitchmaster.
