Julianne Moore Joins Joseph Gordon-Levitt's Untitled Directorial Debut Starring Scarlett Johansson

In February it was revealed that renaissance man, HitRecord honcho himself, Joseph Gordon-Levitt was mounting his first feature-length directorial effort. A comedy starring actor and Scarlett Johansson, to anyone who's ever paid even a modicum of attention to Gordon-Levitt's HitRecord operation -- a open-collaboration production company/burgeoning multi-media mini-empire of short films, music, media of all trades -- the actor turning feature-length filmmaker is no real surprise.

A romantic comedy about a modern day Don Juan who goes on a journey to become less of a "selfish dick," the film appears to be trucking along nicely as one more actor, Julianne Moore, has joined the fray.

While described thus far as an untitled effort, and penned by JGL, the script has been floating around with the title "Don Jon's Addiction," but presumably that's not the picture's final title. Variety says Moore will play an unlikely mentor to Gordon-Levitt's lead character. It's unclear if this project is next for the cast, as Moore is expected to shoot Legendary Picture's "The Seventh Son" later this year, so it may mean "Don Jon's Addiction," or whatever it eventually goes by, has to wait a beat before it can go before cameras. We haven't read it yet, but clearly we have a comedy that's going to revolve around sex, romance and men being asshole lotharios, which should be a nice change of pace acting-wise for JGL.

Good to see Moore joins. Johnny Depp ever played sounds like such character with Brando.
