An extremely awesome show on NBC and TNT that revolves around New York City homicide detectives catching criminals and prosecutors sending them to prison. Unlike shows like CSI where police procedure is all done by one group, Law and Order is more realistic, as the detectives rely on separate forensic and crime scene units as well as investigating the crime themselves.

Law and Order has been on the air since 1990 and has spawned several spin-offs, including Law and Order: SVU and Law and Order: Criminal Intent. However, only the original featured Lennie Briscoe, possibly the baddest motherfucker on the planet.
Every Law and Order episode begins with the following opener: "In the criminal justice system, the people are represented by two separate yet equally important groups: the police who investigate crime and the district attorneys who prosecute the offenders. These are their stories."

The creator of animated television shows "Family Guy," "American Dad," and "The Cleveland Show" on the Fox network. While wildly popular among a certain demographic of pothead twentysomethings and slacker teens, Seth MacFarlane relies on sight gags and endless pop culture references from the seventies and eighties to add humor to his programs. He also employs arguable racist jokes to round out his brand of comedy. Young people with not enough good sense and taste, because they were raised by racist parents in boring whitebread suburbs, enjoy MacFarlane's work. People with brains and even a minimum of sophistication easily see through the empty shtick of MacFarlane's stolen jokes, ethnic puns, and retro pop culture obsession.
Who makes those vapid, unfunny shows on Sunday night? The answer: Seth MacFarlane.

A time-consuming, yet interesting website that chronicle and give names to the many cliches, plot devices, character devices, and other narrative phenomena (such as fanservice, nightmare fuel, getting crap past the radar, etc) in TV shows, movies, comic books, anime, and even in real life.
According to tvtropes, the sudden disappearance of Seven from "Married...With Children" is known as a "Brother Chuck" (because, like Chuck Cunningham from "Happy Days," Seven went upstairs and was never seen again).

Chris Colfer play an openly gay student on the popular tv show Glee. He won a Golden Globe for his insane talents, which just goes to show all the dicks that bullied him in high school.
Bully 1: Hey do you remember Chris Colfer from high school?
Bully 2: Yeah I heard he just won a Golden Globe.
Bully 1: Man we really should have been nicer to him.
