Hone Harawira is crying foul, accusing the other parties of ganging up on him by urging their supporters to vote for Labour candidate Kelvin Davis.
The two contenders are neck-and-neck in the battle for the northern Maori seat of Te Tai Tokerau.
The Mana leader believes the Maori Party is ganging up with National and New Zealand First, happy to see its voters ticking Mr Davis' name.
"Winston Peters is lining up with John Key and Te Ururoa Flavell against the wishes of the people of Te Tai Tokerau," the Mana leader Hone Harawira told ONE News.
However, Mr Flavell says they're struggling "to find a principle that would allow us to do that".
"At this point in time that has been a part of the discussions but no determination has been made on that particular issue," he says.
Labour leader David Cunliffe says no official deal has been done.
"I'm not doing any deals with anybody with any seats like that, I'm just running hard for Labour policy and Labour candidates," says Mr Cunliffe.
If Mr Harawira loses the seat, Internet Mana will not be in Parliament. That would suit both Mr Key and Mr Cunliffe.
"Winston Peters today saying if he could vote up there he'd vote for Kelvin Davis - and so would we," says National leader John Key.
