About TPIN	English (USA)
The Trumpet Players' International Network is housed at Oklahoma City University, a private liberal arts university in Oklahoma City, was founded and is administered by Michael Anderson, Assistant Professor of Music and trumpet enthusiast. It is free to those who have access to The Internet. The TPIN is primarily an electronic mailing list community of trumpet players. There are thousands of mailing lists on The Internet that connect people with like interests from literally across the globe. When you join a mailing list you "subscribe" to it. This means that when any e-mail message is sent to the list address it is redistributed to the personal accounts or "mailboxes" of each subscriber. This has proven to be a great way for a group to communicate on a regular basis and has several benefits, the best of which is you can read these messages, respond to messages or send original messages whenever you want. You can communicate with trumpet players all over the world at any time day or night! All kinds of "trumpet people" are represented on the network including amateurs, students, professionals of all types, professors, retailers, builders, repair people and even non-players. The topics of discussions are quite varied, including such topics as pedagogy, equipment (of course), performance practice, recordings, improvisation, famous and not-so-famous performers, literature and others. Using TPIN
To post a message to all the list members, send email to tpin@tpin.okcu.edu. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to TPIN
Subscribe to TPIN by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
