Driving teachers/testers of reddit, what's the worst thing you've seen a student do? by Waniouin AskReddit

[–]PotViking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, for the permit. I believe I did four or five three hour sessions, but it was with other students in the car and divvied up between us.

Your parents are also expected to bring you out driving once you have your permit. The permit enables you to drive during daylight hours with a licensed adult over the age of 21.

Oh, I know; I've educated myself. Decent amount on ballistics, etc. I joke around a lot, but I'm actually super safe and serious when it actually comes to the handling of and morality/legality of guns. I believe that an individual like the one described DESERVES to be shot, but in that situation, better to just lose your wallet.

Still, would be nice to just shoot the fucker.

In the US, you have to take a written 30-or-so-question test to get a permit.

Driver's license, in Massachusetts at least, is a 10-minute road test. I had to drive down the road, back into a parking spot, do a 3 point turn and drive back.

I did the entire thing with the e-brake on and passed.

Edit: in an automatic. I don't think I've ever heard of anyone in the last 20 years (friends, etc) that did it with a manual. A lot of people don't even know how to drive stick and think you're some sort of wizard if you do.

I like to think I would give him my wallet, then as he's running away I'd gun him down (as I am licensed to carry a gun).

Cops come, ask what happened, etc. He mugged me, I punched him, got my gun out and shot him while he was threatening my life. No need to tell them you shot him in the back. If he survives, so what? He'll tell them a different story, but he tried to fucking mug you - who are they going to believe?

Or just shoot him and leave the scene. He's probably not a very outstanding member of society and most likely wouldn't be missed.

If you do this, then screw you. LEAVE NO TRACE. -Lockegee Rock in Morehead, KY. by Jimmyfinderin CampingandHiking

I mean, if it was JUST the the gator, and it was done a little better, I'd be down with it.

You gotta just blast through them. I honestly feel like I'm Anakin, going on instinct during the pod race.

You should go! It's amazing! And pretty cheap if you're crafty about it.

As someone approaching 30, this is pretty cringe-worthy..

One of my favorite things to do in NYC! I'm not from there, but go every so often for work. Got this brilliant idea a couple months ago:

  1. Take the M to 116th street.
  2. Get super fucking high once you get there!
  3. Rent one of those city bikes. The first half hour is free, and a one-week membership is like $20.
  4. RIDE THAT MOTHERFUCKER through central park. It's nice and relaxing.
  5. Before leaving the park on the southern end, get nice and higher!
  6. Exit the park on 59th, and head over to the intersection with Park.
  7. RIDE THAT MOTHERFUCKER alllll the way down Park! It's exhilarating! The people and cars and lights and everything whizzing by you. Make sure to watch the traffic lights!
  8. Go around Union Sq, continue down Broadway. Make sure you stop and see the new WTC, and Wall St.
  9. End your journey in Battery Park, smoke some more, return the bike to a kiosk thing, and take the train back. No need to ride uphill.

This is best done at night time. Not too early! Not that it's never NOT busy, but after like 11pm is nice because the traffic's lighter.

Wouldn't any colors outside our spectrum become within our spectrum once we can see them?

I wouldn't mind helping out. My CSS isn't as sharp as it used to be, but screw me if I'm not in front of the computer enough to help out!
