Gnomoria v0.8.41 released
« on: May 28, 2013, 10:48:15 AM »
This weeks patch is a little on the small side.  I'm preparing for a big move and had to spend a lot of time packing and preparing this last week.

General
  • Added Fill Hole task.  This task is placed in an empty floor cell and builds a wall in the cell below.
  • Changed Replace Floor task to work without having to deconstruct existing furniture or Workshops

Fixed
  • Crash when clicking "Move Down" without a Job Type selected
  • Gnomes not equipping armor on their left side if their right side currently had better equipment
  • Worn equipment not storing in crates

Fill hole! That's what I've been waiting for :)
Also, nice work with floor replacing.

The patch may seem to be on the small side but those small things have quite some substantial effect for the best.  Fill hole isn't one of my top list but it is a welcome feature.  The big one is being able to replace floor under furniture and workshop.  I think I can speak for most people that this is one of the best implemented features.  Keep up the good work.

Good stuff once again, small, helpful additions that don't change much of the core game play but still bring smiles to the players. Really liked the changes to armor, no more full steelclad troops before digging deeper than -7.

It always felt kind of annoying that you had to pre-plan the flooring under your workshops.
Fantastic as always Bob, keep up the wonderful updates  :D

Yay! These are great changes! It always annoyed me I couldn't finish up a lower floor without leaving the edge for last. Glad to have this. :)

Something to note that you cannot replace floor under stockpiles, guard areas, patrol areas, farm, and pasture.  The ones you can replace floor under are personal quarters, dormitory, hospital, dining room/great hall, and furniture with no designation..  I assume this is because those designations can have furniture built on top of them (apparently storage doesn't count as valid).

Yay!  Now I can replace the silver flooring in my great hall with gold without having to deconstruct everything first!  :D  <3

Has anyone tested if replacing floors under workshops takes longer than replacing bare floors?  I would prefer if it took twice as long to simulate having to move stuff out of your way.
