Visitation is from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM daily. Each inmate is allowed two, one hour visits per week. Visitation for inmates who are separated or segregated is from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM daily, and visitors must make an appointment prior to visiting.


  • The Liberty County Jail consists of two buildings: the new jail and the old jail. The old jail is currently not in use.
  • The old jail was built in 1957 and remodeled in 1985.
  • The new jail was built in 1992, in two phases.


  • CEC provides jail/detention management services at the Liberty County Jail.
  • Religious services are offered to all volunteer offenders twice weekly.
  • CEC provides basic medical, dental, mental health services for offenders at the Liberty County Jail.
