Pediatric Expert Recommends Benzocaine-Free Summer First Aid for the Whole Family

by boiron on August 12th, 2011

Check out the July 2011 issue of Change Your Attitude…Change Your Life: 24/seven for “Safe, Natural, Benzocaine-Free Summer First Aid for the Whole Family,” by pediatric integrative medicine expert Dr. Larry Rosen. Dr. Rosen explains the FDA’s recent warning on benzocaine, and offers several benzocaine-free homeopathic solutions that are safe for your family to use this summer, including Calendula for sunburn, minor cuts and scrapes, Arnica for bumps and bruises, Apis mellifica for insect bites, and Camilia for teething.

“In the end, keep in mind wise Ben Franklin’s advice: ‘An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure,’” Dr. Rosen says. “Short of covering our kids from head to toe in SPF 70 bubble wrap, there’s not much more we can do. From time to time, children get hurt. The trick is to be prepared so you can nip minor problems in the bud.”
