Participate in the “Yes on 522” Twitter Party & Win a Cough, Cold & Flu Pack

by boiron on September 2nd, 2013

Ninety-three percent of Americans support labeling of genetically modified or engineered foods, according to a January 2013 poll by The New York Times. Seventy-five percent are concerned about the effects of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) on their health, and 37% fear such foods cause cancer or allergies.

logo-trans-smallIn November, the state of Washington will vote on Initiative 522. If it passes, genetically engineered foods will have to be labeled, and the state’s shoppers will receive more information about what’s in their food and more control over their shopping decisions. The “Yes on 522” campaign is heavily supported by farmers, fishing families, health professionals, parents and business owners across the state.

To help increase the support for this campaign, “Yes on 522” is sponsoring a blogging carnival this week and a Twitter party next Monday, September 9. Participate in the party by using the hashtag #yeson52 from 10-11 p.m. ET on Monday night. One of several panelists at the Twitter party, Boiron is giving away cough, cold and flu value packs to three lucky participants. Plus, bloggers who participate in the week-long carnival by writing about the initiative on their blog will also be entered to win one of three cough, cold and flu packs.
