Boiron Helps Wildfire Victims through Donation to Care and Share Program

by boiron on August 27th, 2012

On June 23, the Waldo Canyon forest fire started about four miles northwest of Colorado Springs. It took 18 days before the fire was 100 percent contained. By that time, more than 32,000 area residents were evacuated and at least 346 homes were destroyed, making the Waldo Canyon forest fire the most expensive and the most destructive fire in Colorado state history.

In response to this terrible tragedy, members and friends of the Global Market Development Center (GMDC) made generous donations to the fire victims through the “Care and Share” program of Southern Colorado. Donated items included soap, razors, cleaning products, vitamins, toothbrushes, baby merchandise, and many other products that were needed by families that lost their homes. A proud member of the GMDC, Boiron was happy to donate much-needed medicines like Arnicare to the cause, and “Care and Share” has reported that it’s received a record number of donations for the fire victims and firefighters.
