U.S. Congressman Patrick Meehan to Visit Boiron Headquarters

by boiron on June 27th, 2011

Boiron employees will have the opportunity to meet U.S. Congressman Patrick Meehan, 7th District-PA, this Wednesday. Congressman Meehan will meet briefly with our executive team, take a tour of our headquarters, and hold a town hall meeting with our employees.

Congressman Meehan has been visiting regional employers like Boiron to talk about job creation and how the government is impacting the growth and success of their businesses. He is using information gathered on these visits to guide his work on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. He says one of his goals in Congress is to expose and cut out waste, fraud and abuse in the federal government. His committee focuses on not only transparency and holding government accountable but also on eliminating regulations that are currently hindering job creation. With the help of American Job Creators and through Congressman Meehan’s website, businesses and employees in the 7th District can complete a form to identify federal government regulations that impede the growth and success of their business.

Check back for an update and photos after our visit with the Congressman.

About Congressman Meehan: Elected in 2010, Congressman Meehan’s district includes most of Delaware County (where Boiron USA’s headquarters is located), and parts of Chester and Montgomery counties in PA. He serves on the Oversight and Government Reform, Homeland Security, and Transportation and Infrastructure Committees. As a member of the Homeland Security Committee, Meehan was appointed Chairman of the Subcommittee on Intelligence and Counterterrorism, becoming one of only a few freshmen to chair a subcommittee. Prior to his election, Meehan earned an impressive record as one of the Philadelphia area’s most respected prosecutors. Meehan, his wife Carolyn, and their three sons live in Drexel Hill, Pa.
