Claudia Camargo-Nero Races to the Finish Line with the Help of Sportenine

by boiron on June 30th, 2010

Named New York Road Runners’ 2006 Runner of the Year, Claudia Camargo-Nero, 39, has been a top finisher in dozens of long-distance races since her arrival from Argentina in 2004. This year, Camargo-Nero posted several first-place finishes as she trains to be part of the United States’ 2012 Olympic team. At the 2010 Utah Valley Marathon on June 12, Camargo-Nero finished 1st in the female 35-39 age group and 15th overall.

Camargo-Nero resides with her husband, Jeff Nero, also a runner, in Hopewell Junction, N.Y. Claudia and Jeff are big fans of Boiron’s Sportenine, a product that improves stamina, promotes recovery and reduces the risk of cramps, aches, pains, exhaustion and muscle fatigue due to prolonged physical effort.

“The course is a little hard and has much impact on the legs,” says Camargo-Nero, referring to the Utah Valley Marathon. “In mile nine, I felt my legs start to contract, but I had Sportenine in my shorts’ pocket. Amazing! It took one mile for me to feel the effect, [and] I did a new course record!”

Camargo-Nero will compete in the Crazy 8s 8K Run in Kingsport, Tenn. on July 17. Named the Top Road Race of 2008 by Blue Ridge Outdoors magazine, the Crazy 8s is the world’s fastest 8K. Good luck Claudia from your friends at Boiron!
