Join the Fight Against Hunger: Support Feed the Children
As a family-owned company, Boiron understands the importance of helping those that are less fortunate, especially in these tough economic times. We’d like to share with you information about our friends at Feed the Children in the hopes that individuals and corporations may be able to offer this non-profit some support in their valiant efforts to feed America’s children.
Founded in 1979 and headquartered in Oklahoma City, Okla., Feed The Children (FTC) is an international, nonprofit relief organization that delivers food, medicine, clothing and other necessities to individuals, children and families who lack these essentials due to famine, war, poverty or natural disasters. In 2009, FTC launched their “Americans Feeding Americans” program as a way to help fight hunger caused by the economic downturn in America. Through this campaign, FTC works to provide relief to those hardest-hit cities so children don’t have to go to bed hungry. FTC and its partners send tractor-trailers loaded with 25-pound boxes of food and personal care items from coast to coast in order to provide families with help and hope. Each trailer holds enough food and essentials to help 400 families for up to one week. Since 2009, this program has helped more than 325,000 children and families, and in 2012, FTC hopes to reach 125,000 people by sending out 300 truckloads of supplies.
