PA Governor to Visit Our Headquarters in France Today

by boiron on March 19th, 2012

Pennsylvanian Governor Tom Corbett left yesterday for a business development mission in Europe, with stops in the French cities of Lyon and Paris, and the German cities of Stuttgart and Dusseldorf. This week-long, four-city, two-country mission is designed to increase Pennsylvania exports to France and Germany, as well as encourage direct foreign investment into the state. Corbett also hopes to promote and attract tourism to Pennsylvania.

Gov. Corbett’s first stop today is Lyon, France, where he will meet with four French companies that already have a presence in Pennsylvania, including our parent company Boiron. Our company was founded in Lyon in 1932 by twin brothers and pharmacists Jean and Henri Boiron. Today, we have 4,000 employees at 18 subsidiaries worldwide and distribution in 80 countries. Our U.S. presence was established in 1983, and our 100 employees now operate out of two branches, one in Newtown Square, Pa. and one in Simi Valley, Calif. General Director Christian Boiron, and his brother, Thierry Boiron, are excited to welcome Gov. Corbett to our headquarters, and hope to spend some time building a strong relationship with him. Check back with us for an update and photos after today’s visit.
