by boiron on June 1st, 2011

Now that the Memorial Day holiday has come and gone, it’s officially summer! But before you head out for some fun in the sun, check out this program from Radio 66 WFAN in New York. Host Bob Slater chats with integrative medicine expert and pediatrician Dr. Larry Rosen. Dr. Rosen provides listeners, especially parents, with useful summer safety information. He discusses the recent FDA warning regarding benzocaine use in children, and alternative products to use. He also mentions several safe, natural approaches, such as  cost-effective homeopathic medicines, to relieve summer ailments. Calendula is a favorite of Dr. Rosen’s–he calls it an “all-purpose toolbox” for relieving sunburn, minor cuts and scrapes, dry skin and diaper rash. For more info and tips, listen to the interview here.
