Actress Rachael Leigh Cook Relies on Arnica to Keep Her Skin Bruise-Free

by boiron on August 22nd, 2012

Actress Rachael Leigh Cook recently shared the contents of her purse with US Weekly’s “What’s In My Bag?” column. Included among paint samples, a red leather elephant keychain and Canadian currency was a tube of Boiron Arnica montana 30C. “I take a homeopathic pill called Arnica,” says Cook. “I bruise easily and it helps prevent that so I don’t look like I got beat up in an alley!”

One of the most popular homeopathic medicines in the world, Arnica is used by professional athletes to soothe sore muscles, by prominent cosmetic surgeons to relieve post-procedure pain, and by savvy moms to treat playground bumps and bruises. Oral Arnica pellets, such as the ones in Cook’s purse, can also be used with an Arnicare topical for combined pain relief.

Cook is best known for her roles in the films “She’s All That” (1999) and “Josie and the Pussycats” (2001). She currently stars in TNT’s new drama, “Perception,” with Eric McCormack and Kelly Rowan. “Perception” airs on Mondays at 10 p.m.
