Oscillo Featured on Popular Boston TV News Show

by boiron on September 24th, 2010

One of the most popular television news stations in Boston has been highlighting Oscillococcinum in a segment this week called “Cold Relief A Challenge Following Medication Recalls.”

The story on Channel 5/WCVB-TV Boston, which aired several times, features the problem faced by parents this cold and flu season since dozens of popular children’s medicines have been recalled and are not expected back on store shelves until 2012.

However, pharmacist and naturopath Gary Kracoff says there is no need for worry. Kracoff tells Channel 5 there are still plenty of steps you can take to feel better including consuming raw honey and eating a healthy diet plus taking natural medicines like Oscillo because “it helps the body deal with it and get over it faster.”  He also recommends taking the homeopathic medicine Allium cepa. “That’s made from the onion,” he says. “The burning eyes, runny nose — Allium cepa helps the body work through that and helps dry up those symptoms.”

Kracoff also recommends some prevention measures to avoid getting sick in the first place like taking a probiotic, getting a good night’s sleep, washing your hands before you touch your face, and sneezing into the crook of your am.

Oscillo and Children’s Oscillo work best when taken at the first sign of flu-like symptoms, such as feeling run down, body aches, chills and fever. These over-the-counter medicines can be picked up without a prescription in the cough, cold and flu section or in the children’s aisle of health food stores, and independent and chain pharmacies nationwide.
