Japan Times, Oct 15, 2014: Radioactivity spikes in No. 1 reactor well water — [Tepco] said there has been a sharp spike in the radioactivity of water samples taken from an observation well built by the sea… located to the east of the damaged No. 2 reactor… The well is positioned close to an underground trench by the sea that is connected to the No. 2 reactor building. Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, Tepco official Isao Shirai told reporters that the increased radioactivity in the water could be due to higher levels of groundwater caused by recent typhoons mixing with radioactive elements…

NHK WORLD, Oct. 15, 2014: Cesium in groundwater rises at plant after storm — [Tepco] says it has detected high levels of radioactive cesium in groundwater after last week’s heavy rainfall from a typhoon. Highly contaminated water… seeped into soil [and] likely caused radioactive substances in the soil to flow into the groundwater… The officials plan to increase the frequency of water sample tests… to every day to monitor the effects of the heavy rainfall. But they say it will be difficult to take drastic steps because they do not know how far the contaminated water seeped into the ground after the accident.

Yahoo News, Oct. 15, 2014: Radiation increases in Fukushima aquifers after typhoon — The level of radioactive contamination detected in the underground water of the damaged Fukushima nuclear plant has increased after torrential rain [TEPCO] said Wednesday… Rainwater seeped into the sub-soil and mixed with the contaminated fluid coming from the damaged reactors… Plant managers are expected to take samples of groundwater in the area more often to analyse the evolution of the radiation, according to TEPCO. For the moment, additional measures have been ruled out since the depth and scope of the contaminated water leaks are unknown… Large amounts of contaminated water, much of which flows into the Pacific Ocean, are one of the major challenges that are still unresolved in the nuclear power plant…

New test results are available for samples taken Wednesday, one day after Typhoon Vongfong passed over the plant (pdf). Record-high levels of radioactive cesium continue to increase.

See Monday’s results here: Agency: Fukushima workers urgently trying "to prevent groundwater from leaking into ocean" -- Levels of nuclear waste surge next to sea -- Strontium-90 shatters previous record by over 5 Billion Bq/m3 -- Now 25 million times EPA limit

Capenhurst has been shortlisted to store waste from decommissioned nuclear submarines, the Ministry of Defence announced today.

The nuclear services site, which already holds tonnes of radioactive material, could also take waste from 27 Royal Navy subs.

A consultation process will launch in November, arriving in Chester on December 9, to determine which of the five proposed sites will be chosen.

Philip Dunne MP, Minister for Defence Equipment, Support and Technology, said: “When the submarines in the Royal Navy fleet reach the end of their lives we need to dispose of them in a way that is safe, secure and environmentally sound.

“This open and transparent public consultation process provides the opportunity to work closely with local communities near to potential sites to listen carefully to their views with the aim of delivering a solution that achieves these objectives.

“We value the views of those who have something to say about the Submarine Dismantling Project. All of them will be considered properly as part of our decision-making process. After consultation we will publish a report on our findings and after we have selected a site, we will explain why we reached that decision.”…

Atomic Weapons Establishment criticised for radioactive waste management
    Oct 16 By Linda Fort
The Environment Agency has raised a ‘non-compliance intervention’ against the AWE after a site inspection in July revealed too few competent personnel were in place…

Earlier this year, the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) announced it is considering enforcement action against AWE for failing to comply with instructions for managing a growing backlog of radioactive waste.

AWE was issued with a licence in March 2007 ordering the company to reduce the volume and encapsulate 1,000 drums of intermediate level radioactive waste so that they could be stored safely in a passive form over the long term.

The licence expired at the end of February 2014 without its requirements being met…

This is the typical good cop, bad cop that has been going on for 60 years. EPA vs Hanford is smoke and mirrors as it only placates the masses and satisfies only the legal requirements to keep it out of the Court system.

We the people, of Washington State, want it to go to court to expose the wrongs that need to be righted. But that will never happen because the game is controlled by the Feds, for the Feds. Round 2 will be coming up over the "sludge" pit cleanup.

$10,000 a week? This is PENNIES to these people. It's not always pennies, but it never seems to make a difference — to fine rather than to actually punish.

It wasn't "pennies" to Prescott Bush (father of George Sr., grandfather of shrub) when he was convicted under the Trading with the Enemies Act (1942) for building up the Hitler war machine. Apparently the fine was substantial for that. But it was A FINE. No, he wasn't tried for treason. No, he did not even lose his right to vote. Instead, he went on to become a U.S. Senator from Connecticut!

Now it's not even like "the more things change, the more they stay the same." It's more like, whoa! — it's actually gotten way worse!

It reports only 49 percent of the 26,025 Hanford claims have been approved under the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program, established by Congress to support sickened nuclear workers with medical expenses and compensate them for job-related illnesses…

  • Yes lies up and down. Tons of highly radioactive water leaks from Biggest Nuclear Disaster Ever, Fukushima Triple Melt-Though and plutonium explosion site on a daily basis. Our Pacific eco system is irradiated. One more severe earthquake could indeed render an Endtimes scenario if the spent fuel pools containing thousands of fuel bundles of radiated decaying spent fuel catch fire. A very real possibility they won't ever talk about.

What if the tide turned and the public could mandate that the poison pushers must inject themselves with their own toxins? • TIPP it good folks. When the insanity get fully beyond belief is when things change, we are not quite there yet.

That said, be aware of the tens of tons of radioactive materials that were burnt and blown into the jet stream from Fukushima.

Using EPA air data from measuring stations in Guam, Saipan, Hawaii, Marianna Islands, California, and Washington, the densities in air multiplied by the volume of air indicates that around

195 tons of uranium, and percentages of that is plutonium, cesium, strontium, all the usual suspects.

While we worry about radiation in the waters off the West Coast we also have a potential oil spill in progress off Haida Gwaii. Our native peoples on that island are *very* worried:

Container ship adrift off British Columbia coast
    THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
    10/17/2014 6:16 PM 10/17/2014 6:16 PM

    "OLD MASSETT, BRITISH COLUMBIA
A Russian container ship carrying hundreds of tons of fuel was drifting without power in rough seas off British Columbia's northern coast Friday, a scenario a nearby First Nation community described as its "worst fear."

The Canadian Forces' joint rescue coordination center in Victoria said the Russian carrier Simushir lost power late Thursday night off Haida Gwaii, also known as the Queen Charlotte Islands, as it was making its way from Washington state to Russia.

Canadian Navy Lt. Paul Penderghast said the ship was drifting nine nautical miles from shore, though he said it was largely maintaining that position.

"It is drifting, but it's drifting parallel to shore," Penderghast said."

The answer is simple, just tell the TRUTH, the entire Fukushima Diachii site is uninhabitable, the Spent Fuel Pools are gigantic Multi-thousand Ton chunks of Corium exposed to the weather, rain, wind, sun, rain, wind FOREVER as far as anyone reading this post is concerned.

It's not rocket science people, it is simple mathematics,

No power=No circulation of the water in the Spent Fuel Pools=Pellet Cladding Mechanical Interaction=Gigantic chunks of Corium=NO BODY RUNNING AROUND THE FUKUSHIMA DIACHII SITE.

Sorry, but all the known Laws of Physics, Thermal Dynamics, Chemistry, Mathematics, which have the same reliable outcomes, EVERY TIME, in every other location on Planet Earth, all return the same Undeniable, Inescapable result detailed above and in countless other posts by me.

TIME TO BREAKOUT OF DENIAL MODE AND ACCEPT THE TRUTH OF THAT STATEMENT PLEASE!!!!!

I just don't understand, I can not possibly be the only person that can do the simple calculations, not Calculus, not Trigonometry, not Algebra, rather simple Addition, Multiplication and Division, oh and a little READING, COMPREHENDING AND CONNECTING FACTS TO REACH THE ONLY OUTCOME POSSIBLE.

Well, it won't be to much longer now. Have a great weekend Stock and Obewan
