People’s Center Theater

People’s Center Theater is a dynamic 70 seat theater venue in the heart of the West Bank. It has a history as rich as the neighborhood it inhabits. In the early 70’s it was home to At the Foot of the Mountain, the longest running feminist theater company in the United States. Later it housed a variety of companies, such as Joking Apart, Mary Worth, Minnesota Shakespeare Project, and the first Minnesota Fringe Festival. Since re-opening in 2007, with a new lobby and some loving-care, People’s Center Theater has been the choice for many new and or acclaimed theaters: Walking Shadow, Swandive, Blank Slate, Maximum Verbosity, Iconoclasm, Urban Samurai, Boxwine, Gadfly, CoinPurse, Paper Crane, Phoenix, 20%, Boom!, Candid, Cromulent Shakespeare, and many more…
