Alamut
Alamut is a beautiful mountainous region on the edge of Alborz massif where dry plain intersects green forest. Alamut has witnessed decades of development after Hassan Sabbah the leader of Ismailites (A breanch of Shia Islam) chose there to build their stronghold. For over two centuries lots of castles were built in the region of which Alamut Castle is the most magnificent.
About the artist
Hamidreza Noruzi
Hamidreza was born in 1988 in Tehran, Iran. He started his career in photography in 2001 by shooting from nature. His photos and articles have been published in various magazines studying Iran.
Hamidreza, nicknamed Payman, has also worked as a project manager in photography of Iran’s Star full Nights, tutor of astronomy, industry, and nature photography, and as the lead tour organizer at Iran Development of Scientific Studies. He worked as a photographer for National Iranian Oil Company as well.
