Mayadhar Mansingh (13 November 1905-11 October 1973) was an Odia born in Nandala, Khurda district,  Odisha. He has written essays, poetic plays, long narrative poems and research articles on History of Orissa. His poetic style refers use of romantic and erotic metaphor for which he his also considered as the “Prēmika kabi” (Lover poet) in Odia literature.Some of his notable works include poems KrushnaKamalayanaKōṇārkaand Ēi sahakāra taḷē. He has documented one of the earliest historical books of Odia literature called Ōḍiā Sāhitẏara Itihāsa (History of Oriya language) in 1962.Mansingh has introduced works of William Shakespeare in Odia literature .He has translated Hamlet and Othello in Odia.Former Indian diplomat Lalit Mansingh is the son of Mayadhar Mansingh.
