No one was prouder to see Ed Sheeran's victory at the Brit Awards this week than his cousin, broadcasting legend Gordon Burns.
As The Diary reported in January, Gordon has resigned himself to being only the second most famous member of his extended Irish family since Ed burst onto the music scene.
He interviewed the Lego House singer for his BBC Radio Manchester show at the start of the year, and was proudly watching on TV this week as the 21-year-old scooped both Best Solo Male and Best Breakthrough Artist at the music bash.
Gordon said on his Twitter account: ‚ÄúCongratulations...Family so proud.‚ÄĚ
And, now that Ed is making ginger cool too, Gordon has even made his own startling confession.
He later posted: ‚ÄúFunnily enough, I did have ginger hair as a kid.‚ÄĚ
