Hip Hop Singles Sales This Week: Iggy Azalea, Jeremih, ILOVEMAKONNEN

Jeremih and YG nearly take the #1 spot from Iggy Azalea while ILOVEMAKONNEN and Drake jump into the Top 3.

ILOVEMAKONNEN and Drake’s “Tuesday” single knocked Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” out of the Top 3 this week as Minaj’s latest single fell to #7. Iggy Azalea and Rita Ora claimed yet another week at #1 but Jeremih and YG’s “Don’t Tell ‘Em” single came within a few hundred units of the spot. Big Sean’s E-40 featuring single “I Don’t Fuck With You” continued its rise and made it up to #4, just ahead of a new song on the charts from Flo Rida and Sage The Gemini.

Iggy Azalea And Rita Ora Hold Onto #1

Iggy Azalea’s “Black Widow” just barely held onto its top spot this week with 65,190 singles sold. The latest figures represent an 11% drop from last week’s sales above the 73k mark and add the total to 1,729,570 singles sold.

Jeremih And YG Almost Dethrone “Black Widow” And Break The Platinum Milestone

With the top two songs again more than a dozen thousand units ahead of #3, Jeremih and YG’s “Don’t Tell ‘Em” nearly put an end to the “Black Widow” reign at #1 selling just 318 singles less than the Australian rapper’s song. With 64,872 sold last week, a 10% drop from the previous, “Don’t Tell ‘Em” is still on the decline but falling slower than “Black Widow.” The collaboration has now tallied more than a million records sold with the latest numbers bringing the total to 1,059,265 singles in its 21st week on the charts.

ILOVEMAKONNEN And Drake Break Into The Top 3

After consecutive weeks at #5, ILOVEMAKONNEN’s “Tuesday” single jumped two spots to #3 with 46,825 singles sold last week, a 13% sales spike that kept the single just 238 units ahead of Big Sean and E-40 at #4. “Tuesday” has sold 222,117 since its Billboard debut marked the 72nd appearance on the chart for Drake in early October, passing The Beatles' number appearances on the chart in the process.
