Plaxton delivers its 100th Elite

Article Image

Plaxton has delivered its 100th Elite, a 12.6m two-axle Volvo B9R. It is a 49-seater for Howard Snaith Coaches. Says director Alison Snaith, whose company already runs two Elites: “The Elite is a brilliant product and we have worked with Plaxton to fine tune the interior of this one to our exact requirements.” Plaxton launched the Elite at Euro Bus Expo in 2008, initially on the Volvo B12B. It is now offered on the B9R and B13R.

Howard Snaith Coaches has grown from a two-vehicle operation acquired by Howard Snaith and his wife Alison in 1967 to one operating over 70 vehicles from a modern depot and workshop at Otterburn. The company also has operating centres at Belford, West Sleekburn, Newcastle, Prudhoe, Hexham and Alnwick.
