Ryan Seacrest debuted Rihanna‘s lead single from her upcoming Loud album, “Only Girl (In the World),” on his radio show. This Euro-pop dance cut is a complete 180 from the sullen “Russian Roulette” single that led the way for Rated R last year, and it sounds like a stronger, sexier version of her 2007 smash “Don’t Stop the Music.” Both “Girl” and that hit were whipped up by Norwegian production duo Stargate.
This morning American Idol hostAs synths shoot over the track and a heavy, whipping bass spanks, Rihanna seductively sings, “Baby, I’ll tell you all my secrets that I’m keepin’/You can come inside/And when you enter, you ain’t leavin’/Be my prisoner for the night.” You can listen to it here.
It took me a few songs to get into Rated R, but after this single, she has my ear from song one. Loud is due out this November. What do you think of her new single? Are you anxious for her next album now?
