Sue Jacques
I am the Chief Executive and Finance Director at County Durham and Darlington Foundation Trust, which is a large acute trust (turnover approximately £310m) in the North East of England. I joined finance director colleagues from the North West of England earlier this year on their Applied Learning programme. I am a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and in December 2008, I was named HFMA finance director of the year.
Why I wanted to be an HFMA Trustee?
I have been an active member of HFMA for a number of years, promoting the organisation through various speaking and related engagements at national and local events. I decided to apply to be a trustee in 2009 as I had developed the balance of vision, knowledge, experience, passion and energy needed to be an effective, enthusiastic and committed trustee. I aim to positively contribute to the further development of HFMA as an essential organisation for NHS finance and related professionals wishing to be at the top of their game.
