Sheplife: Briggs

Broadcast:
Saturday 11 October 2014 6:30PM (view full episode)

Sheplife touches on socio-political themes (Bad Apples), loss and tragedy (Late Night Calls) and family (Bigger Picture).

Briggs said he wanted to create songs of substance for his second album. It wasn’t easy though: the touring cycle from his debut album The Blacklist and the extra attention have taken their toll. It's been almost three years between The Blacklist and his new album Sheplife, but the time has allowed Briggs to sharpen his focus on the integrity in his music and the results show a real maturity.
Picking up Best New Talent at this year’s National Indigenous Music Awards, and having Sheplife debut at #16 on the Australian Recording Industry Association charts: the year belongs to Briggs.
