MILAN, Nov 28 - U.S. investment firm Blackrock has lowered its stake in Italian cooperative bank Banco Popolare, according to a regulatory filing on Friday which showed a holding of 4.91 percent as of Nov. 21.

The board of Itaú Unibanco Holding SA, Brazil's largest bank by market value, approved late on Thursday a revamped program to buy back as many as 10 million common shares and as many as 50 million of preferred shares. The plan will be valid for one year, the São Paulo-based bank said in a securities filing. Currently, Itaú has 261.5 million common shares and 2.69 billion preferred shares in circulation.

Greek retail sales rise for fourth month in a row in September
ATHENS, Nov 28 - Greek retail sales by volume rose 2.2 percent in September compared to the same month last year, after a downwardly revised 7.3 percent increase in August, statistics service ELSTAT said on Friday.
