Steelheads Agree To Terms With
Beauchemin, Rookies Nelson, Sullivan



BOISE, Idaho - The Idaho Steelheads announced that they have agreed to terms with goaltender Rejean Beauchemin, rookie forward Ben Nelson and rookie defenseman Kelly Sullivan.

The Steelheads are the ECHL affiliate of the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League.

Selected in the sixth round (191st overall) by Philadelphia in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, the 23-year-old Beauchemin was 16-17-7 with two shutouts, a goals-against average of 2.88 and a save percentage of .912 in 41 games with the Dayton Bombers in 2007-08.

The 24-year-old Nelson played the last four seasons at Quinnipiac University where he had 134 points (66g-68a) and 68 penalty minutes in 143 games from 2004-08. He signed with the South Carolina Stingrays after completing his season in 2007-08 and had four goals and two penalty minutes in seven games.

The 25-year-old Sullivan played the last four seasons at the University of Massachusetts Lowell where he had 10 points (2g-8a) and 81 penalty minutes in 88 games from 2004-08.
