Thomas Arvid to Visit Wine Country, Feb. 3-4
North Bay Gallery in Yountville is pleased to welcome Thomas Arvid for a one-night show on Friday, February 3rd from 5 to 8 p.m. In addition to a live painting demonstration by Thomas, the gallery will showcase the artist’s latest works along with archival pieces and a few surprises from his studio. Arvid will also unveil his latest masterpiece, “Silver Lining” created over the course of the last year.
Named one of the top “25 Artists You Should Know” by US Art magazine, Arvid’s monumental paintings astonish viewers with their intricate details and his mastery of light, depth and reflection. “I’m always trying to capture the magic of a perfect evening shared with great friends and a great bottle,” says Arvid. With his iconic portrayals of the wine experience displayed in exclusive galleries across North America and his many relationships with vintners, wineries and art collectors throughout Napa, Thomas Arvid has become synonymous with the wine lifestyle.
Marc and Donna Eremian, owners of North Bay Gallery have shown Arvid’s work for years, but this will be the first time the artist has been able to appear at the gallery. “It’s really a treat for us to be able to present the work of a world-renown artist of Arvid’s caliber and to have him here in person makes it even more special,” says Donna. Thomas will be signing art and taking pictures with collectors on Friday, but the artwork will remain on display for those interested in adding to their collection.
Saturday, February 4th, Thomas will join friends and fans for the Silver Oak Release Day to raise a glass in celebration of the 2007 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. “I look forward to the excitement of release day when I come to Napa Valley,” said Arvid. “I’m honored to be a part of the Silver Oak family and what better way to celebrate our shared commitment to craftsmanship than with fellow fans?”
