Who We Are




JOANNA REES aka JOSIE LLOYD graduated from Goldsmiths University of London with a BA(Hons) in English and Drama. She wrote her first novel aged 26, and has written twelve further novels since, including the No 1 Sunday Times bestseller, Come Together. She’s written for many national newspapers and appears frequently on TV and radio as a publishing expert, as well as teaching creative writing at various festivals and schools. She's been published in the UK and US by Random House, St. Martin's Press, Orion, Ballantine and Macmillan, and her novels have been translated into 26 foreign languages. Her latest solo novel, The Key to It All, was published by Macmillan in 2014, and she’s currently working on a new novel, as well as acting as a private literary consultant to a number of well known household names. EMLYN REES is an experienced professional fiction editor, author, and founding director of the Dark & Stormy Crime Book and Film Festival. He published his first two mystery novels, aged 25, whilst working at leading London literary agency, Curtis Brown, where he also managed their slush pile of unsolicited manuscripts. He’s since co-written several international bestsellers with Jo and two further thrillers, and until recently was a commissioning editor for a UK and US paperback publisher. He tutors in crime fiction at City University in London and regularly appears discussing writing and publishing on radio and online.
