LGMA Mixed Instrument

In a mixed instrument class, participants learn tunes and collaborate on arranging the tunes in an exciting way. It's less about the individual and more about learning to play with other instruments and creative an ensemble. During the course we'll be learning tunes and exploring arrangements, with the possibility of performance at a later date. You can download an index for your expanding book of tunes.

This new class is run by the Lanarkshire Guitar and Mandolin Association. The term starts on Tuesday 27th August 2013, 10am at East Kilbride Arts Centre, 51 Old Coach Road, East Kilbride G74 4DS (How to get there).

You should have played your instruments for a year or two. Most instruments are welcome, but if you play smallpipes, for example, you should have another more versatile instrument as well. To give you an idea of the sort of music we produce, you listen to some recordings we've made: LGMA Mixed Instrument Soundfiles. The latest recordings - May/June 2013 - can be listened to and downloaded below.
